Jolla and Sony SBH-80 bluetooth headset

I have Sony SBH-80 bluetooth headset and it is not working with my Jolla phone. The headset works with other phones and Jolla Bluetooth works with other bluetooth devices so hardware is fine. To my knowledge, there is no way to add a new bluetooth device, all devices must be discovered. Is that true or is there a way to manually add a device to see if pairing is then successful? I have the latest Saimaa build on the phone.
